The Ridgway Ambulance Corporation is located at 120 North Broad Street in the Borough of Ridgway, the Elk County Seat in North Central Pennsylvania. We provide both Advanced Life Support Services with fulltime Paramedics and Basic Life Support Services with volunteer EMT's and certified First-Aid/CPR drivers.

Our Paramedic Interceptor (Medic 3) provides Advanced Life Support Services to all the BLS ambulance services in the area. Medic 3 responds to assistance in Ridgway Borough, North & South Ridgway Townships, Johnsonburg Borough, Jones Township, Horton Township, Springcreek Township, Milestone Township, Fox Township, Highland Township and on occasion into the Counties of Cameron, McKean and Jefferson. Our BLS service of 3 Ambulances (421, 422, 423), all have ALS equipment onboard so when Medic 3 is committed else where, these units provide emergency services to the same coverage area as the interceptor in addition to providing Mutual Aid and stand-by to Johnsonburg Borough, Fox Township and the City of St. Marys Ambulance Services.

 

In addition to providing 24 hour emergency coverage to Ridgway and surrounding communities, Ridgway Ambulance also provides medically necessary (based on current Medicare guidelines) Advanced and Basic Life Support transportation to all area Hospitals and Tertiary Care Centers ie. Pittsburgh and Erie Hospitals.
